I remember going to see Victor Borge when he talked about the history of the piano. According to him, the original pianos only had one key. It was a real breakthrough when someone thought it would be a good idea to add cracks.
Victor was hysterically funny and he threw out a lot of jokes so it took about two weeks for this one to land and set me to giggling.

It took me a couple of minutes to figure out why a friend was wishing me a Happy Piano Birthday.
