Henry David Warns

Here's the electrician, running a handy line for plugging in the new car.  What keeps running through my mind is  Thoreau's warning -- Beware of any enterprise that requires new clothes.

  1. Look at the bright side: As long as you haven't gone out and bought a black leather jacket to wear while you're driving the car, you're within the letter of Thoreau's warning.

And I see you've kept the license plate from the previous Smart Car! Huzzah!

  2. So, is this a special 240 amp (or volt or watts or whatever it is - my autotutorial Physics class at Cornell was too long ago!) line, or is it just a regular household current plug? Enquiring minds need to know! CMS

  3. Is that Buffalo I see written below the license plate? What has happened to the old Rochester - Buffalo rivalry

  4. That's a regular 110 plug. There's no Smart dealer in Rochester -- and as the fully-charged range of this car is a bit more than 80 miles, it was delivered on a flatbed. And the dealer's license plate holder has already been replaced by a plain one -- what's more the guy at the auto supply place who made the change for me had a fine time trying the car out around the mall parking lot.
